What America Owes Me

April 20, 2003

Absolutely Nothing. On the contrary, I ask myself, "What do I owe America?"

I am living in the greatest nation in the world and I am grateful beyond words.

I owe the United States, its Founding Fathers and all the military service men and women who have fought and died for this country my undying allegiance and gratitude for making this the safest, most free land on the face of God's green Earth and for giving me the opportunity to live my life as I choose to live it.

I thank our military, the greatest in the world, for defending our freedoms. I thank our President George W. Bush, for leading them with the strength, honor and moral clarity that our last President could not muster.

If any Americans do not feel the same way, they have bought into the lies and deceit of the Democratic Party, the party of the lying Left.

I could'nt have said it better Greg.
Just a couple of years ago foreign dignitaries would stroke their finger through the circle formed by the thumb and fore finger on the other hand and slap thier leg with a giggle when the U.S. President was mentioned.
Thank God those same dignitaries have had to adjust their posture with a healthy dose of newfound respect for the Office of the President now.
As for the men and women in our military:
I will never allow myself to be in the same building with one of these brave and honerable individuals without seeking them out to shake thier hand and express my gratitude for thier willingness to die for the freedom that a lot of Americans take for granted.
Freedom is not cheap or easy. The brave and unselfish who have sacrificed for this freedom have my undying gratitude.

Great to see your enthusiasm for this country.

One question and one observation my friend:

First the observation ... you already OWE America $14,000 as your share of the federal debt, so, feel free to start paying your share ASAP.

Second, a broader question: You say If any Americans do not feel the same way, they have bought into the lies and deceit of the Democratic Party, the party of the lying Left.

Can you point to any article, any publication, anywhere where the Democratic Party says this isn't the Greatest Country on Earth? Is it an official plank of the Party? Please include a link so we can expose the Democratic Party as Un-American once and for all.

(p.s....is your last name McCarthy by chance?)

Just remember you people, we are a democracy. And Greg and Ernie are on the side of the majority that will dwarf your opinion for many elections to come. As for being un American it is rather obvious to us who believe the Commander in Chief is among the protectors of this country during wartime that you dumb asses say you support! Dems and libs keep changing ideas to suit their weak ideals...in the war,,, first a quagmire, then poor supply lines...all a bunch of shit....NOW after we've had over 500 lost and wounded they say 'now comes the HARD part'....damn you people piss me off, but i will settle down, cuz the dems are toast for the next 3 generations! I think i'll start a new term for your candidates (which I hope you select Al Sharpton) ha ha.....lets just call them the AXIS OF A-PEEZELS....Slick Willie is relegated to 60 Minutes but we shouldnt even give him 60 seconds...Monica didn't even need that long

Lotta gratitude above for America... certain aspects, anyway. Alas (for you), the damnable lying lefty liberals are America every bit as much as you are.

Yes, you are right about the US. I know I also owe the US for the peace and order and stable financial system that allows me to make a good salary to support myself and my family comfortably and to live my life as I choose to live it. I don't at all begrudge the taxes I pay, the least of any stable country in the world.

Tail gunner Joe was a heroin addict. Supplied by Anslinger (head of the precursor to the DEA - BNADD) so the left couldn't black mail him.

"I am living in the greatest nation on earth, and I am grateful beyond words."

Apparently not.

Americans who believe that their war-mongering president and military force "protects" their right to peace and wealth are under an illusion that they deserve more than other people on this planet. It is the American greed that has created corporations that bleed the resources of the planet and keeps the rest of the world in poverty. So-called peace in this country continues to create war in other countries for selfish reasons. When are Americans going to wake up and realize that we are all citizens of the same planet? All countries need to work together to create a liveable home for all. The selfish greeds of one country should not dictate poverty in other countries to pay the price for their wealth. I realize that you probably won't print this opinion because it might seem "Un-American"...Does that mean to be American you must keep blinders on about the real truth of how this country treats other people?

Virginia, I assume you're emailing from the nearest internet cafe to your posting with the Peace Corps?
