A View From Pakistan

This retired Pakistani general believes his nation is on the short list of targets for US-driven regime change:

It seems that there is a right turn in our policy. We did not blindly follow USA in the Security Council and are not one of the forty-five Allies of Anglo-American invasion of Iraq. But such correction on the part of Pakistan is bound to affect Pakistan-USA relations. So, we should not be surprised that after the dust settles down in Iraq, USA will turn its attention towards Pakistan. Being already on their 'evil empire list' as stated earlier, dealing with Pakistan may become a priority for USA. So we are likely to be 'Pakistan Next' very soon.

This isn’t from a random rant … it’s from the Op/Ed page of the Pakistani paper The Nation. One must wonder … how prolific is this view?
