"A Time For Healing", Lets All Cry For John Kerry
I agree with Michelle Malkin on all of this stuff the media keeps repeating. How we are "all divided", how "We need to heal".
Tell that to all the ignorant slamming done by the Democrats during this campaign. I don't feel bad for John Edwards or John Kerry. Why should I? They spent the better part of 2 years running around making speeches, shaking some hands, ignoring their Senatorial duties and spewing filth. Comparing the two campaigns that basically boiled down to Bush repeating "We're in danger from the terrorists and we need to fight them" and Kerry repeating "Bush is wrong on everything Iraq, the economy and terrorism" without having a positive word to say about America, it's not too much of stretch to see why Kerry lost. I can't feel sorry for a couple of millionaire who have been paid well for the past two years to shirk their duty while seeking personal ambitions. For those of you out there all weepy about Kerry and his loss, take a look over at the Sudan and Africa and then tell me how sad you are for a couple well off individuals who didn't win a race they were running for. To you liberals out there who would slam me for the above, trust me I'd be saying the same thing if Bush lost. I would think it was a mistake that Bush wasn't elected, but I wouldn't be crying for him or Dick Cheney. They are both well off as well and would not have any difficulty with living out their life in a comfortable fashion while the rest of us go off to work everyday, paying bills and getting by on a paycheck. Enough weeping for poor Kerry already. Originally posted at Diggers Realm Comments
I don't feel sorry for Kerry and Edwards either.
Posted by: Satuka I'm not weeping for Kerry, and certainly I'm not afraid of Bush.

Posted by: submandave I avoided getting my hopes up about this election until the final days, but it is disappointing to lose, no doubt. I have not heard anybody say that we should feel sorry for Kerry and Edwards. They are big boys (as am I ) and we will all get over it. I do find it interesting that of the three op-eds I came home to tonite, one was Micheles' vitriol, one was Alan's condescension, and the third is this virtual non sequitur slamming Kerry again. The guy lost already, how about a little graciousness, geez. Posted by: rdelephant "The guy lost already, how about a little graciousness, geez."
Posted by: Cap'n DOC Well Cap'n. I caught just a brief analysis today that said the largest impact on the defeat of Kerry's attempt to convince the American people he was the right person for the job .. was the Swifties. They were more believable than Kerry. So I think vindication has been achieved. Kerry will never believe he did anything wrong, which is ironically hypocritical of him.
Posted by: TexasGal What is the point of this post? No one is 'crying' for Kerry. They're crying for the increasingly stupid and despised country Bush's reelection is creating. You deserve everything you get. Posted by: Alex Carlton After 10 years of increasing Republican majorities in Congress and the re-election of a clearly conservative President, you'd think that the left would figure out that the country is moving away from their 1960 worldview. Lead, follow or get out of the way. We've now flipped seamlessly from almost 2 years of Bush Lied, Bush is brain dead, Bush is Wrong, Bush's Brain, Fahrenheit 411 and so on, not to mention the MSM attacks that came unravelled like cheap sweaters under the light of day. Without even taking a breath it's now a country deeply divided and Bush and Republicans are already being chastized and criticized for not reaching out to "heal". Maybe, just maybe it's the Democrats who need to reach out to the MAJORITY of Americans who by their votes are consistently expressing the opinion that their(Dem's) claim to be representative of the "mainstream" of American politics is so much blather (or maybe "drather"). There is a train moving forward in America and a steadily growing MAJORITY is on board. Those who don't want to be left at the increasingly deserted station need to wake up and realize that intelligent, reasoned criticism is welcomed in the discourse but not without presenting an alternative course of action. War is either fighting or surrendering. America has chosen to fight and she has chosen her leader by a convincing MAJORITY. The way to play in the process isn't to whine and recriminate. Come up with some ideas if you want to keep the Democratic party alive. Stamping your feet and hurling childish insults is for kids not for those who want to lead the world's most influential populace. If you want to come into the tent, you have to lift the flap. That's not possible if you spend your time and intellectual capital whining about how unfair and unreasonable everyone else is. Posted by: byron53b "If only more people had voted.."
