NPR providing transcripts from Israel/Palestine stories

This is only due to constant pressure from groups who think NPR is biased toward one side or the other in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Transcripts are available FREE! for all stories related to this Middle East hot spot.

Normally, NPR charges $4.95 for individual story transcripts.

Highlights include:
a Cornell West commentary
A Remebrance of Edward Said
and various breaking news stories.

Interestingly, at least one story about Iraq and Intelligence made it into this archive.

Headline on Iraq intelligence piece: "Goss Casts Doubt on Iraq Data "

Prime NPR drivel. The headline leads you to believe this is some kind of smoking gun of sexed up intel. In reality, Goss admits we do not have enough spies. Gee, who cut that program back...

Then the money question:

"INSKEEP: Isn't it reasonable to conclude by now that Iraq just did not have any major, ongoing weapons program or any major stockpile of weapons, even if they may have been thinking about it?

Rep. GOSS: I think that'd be a very dangerous conclusion. I have no way of knowing the truth of that. But it's not only just the question of actually having the weapons on hand. It's also the question of having the capability to develop them and bring them on hand quickly. "

And the interview ends rather abruptly. I'd be curious as to why Rep. Goss thinks capability is relevent when we KNOW its all about "immanent threat". But I guess this NPR Hack just realized he was at the end of propaganda and the beginning of truth and decided to end it there...
