You don't have to be Catholic, Christian, or even any form of Theist to know that the end is near, and the world should wish him well.
Posted by: aebrain I'm a jack Lutheran--just born that way--what a lovely man and good pope John Paul II has been--his work in Poland and taking a bullet and forgiving the assailant and all--I have Catholic friends that are saddened today as I am--it will be hard to fill his shoes--may wisdom guide the choice. Posted by: bob the good Even though I am a Christian, I am not fond of the Catholic church after all the priest sex scandals. However it will be a very sad day for the world when this wonderful Pope passes on to be with the Holy Father. He has been gravely ill this past week, but still sat in front of the window waving to all. And to forgive the assassin who tried to kill him, is real Christianity at it's best. We should all strive for that kind of greatness and our world would be a better place. May God greatly bless John Paul II. I know I will cry when his passing is announced.
