Marines Head to Haiti

Just in at Fox:

Fifty combat-ready U.S. Marines are flying to Haiti to secure American embassy and staff, diplomats said Monday. The emergency U.S. mission to Haiti comes as rebels who overran Haiti's second-largest city of Cap-Haitien began detaining people identified as supporters of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide and said they would attack the capital soon.

I am a high school student, and I am doing a essay about Marines sent to Haiti. My comment on them being sent over there. Is it's wrong, we have our own problems to deal with in then U.S. Why should we worry about this?
