St Valentines Day Massacres Averted in Zimbabwe
From the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) :
Zimbabwean police have threatened to shoot a group of women planning to hold a Valentine's Day march.

The march was cancelled amid fears of bloodshed.

Organisers of the demonstration say police warned that they would shoot to kill if activists took to the streets.

The group known as Women of Zimbabwe Arise decided to call off the march, because of fears for the safety of its members.

Police also withdrew permission for similar protests in the southern city of Bulawayo and the tourist town of Victoria Falls.

But the women staged a small impromptu demonstration in the township of Chitungwiza, outside Harare.

They called for an end to hatred in Zimbabwe.

Last year, dozens of women were arrested during a similar Valentine's Day march.

T8, wasnt any better under the wite people, just more organized. Unfortunately they replaced one corrupt racist orginzation with another, now its cultural racism though, not any better, and sometimes alot more brutal (ethnic cleansings being par for the course).

Ronin, white Rhodesians called the shots since the Boer War, but white oppression of black indigenous peoples always triggered global opprobrium, thus some pressure to end oppression.

Not so with black on black (i.e. Hutus vs. Tutsis) oppression. The butchery continues now, unabeted and totally under the radar of world opinion.

And this is ........better?

I never said it was better, i was merely stating that white racist imperialism and aparthied isnt any better than cultural racism. In one you round up the natives, lock them in reservations/ghettos/concentration camps and wait for them to die off. Or in the other you kill/eat/intimidate/enslave/displace the other natives.

White imperialism, same effect, more candycoated.

I'd like to say something overall about all the past wars that I've heard about. In every war there is a reason why it is for which can also be resolved by peace not war.
