Enriched Uranium Found in Iran
[Sky News]
UN inspectors are reported to have found traces of highly-enriched uranium at an Iranian nuclear facility.
The find, contained in a report prepared for the agency's board meeting next month, heightened concerns that Tehran may be running a secret nuclear weapons programme.
The find came as Iran indicated it would sign up to a treaty which would allow surprise inspections of its nuclear sites

Another report (I cannot find the source, but will look again) I read said that the UN and US experts are all agreeing that the Iranians got the uranium from Pakistan.
Another case of the Pakis proliferating nuclear technology. First, they gave it to the North Koreans to get missile technology from them, and now they have given it to Iran.
Aren't both Iran and North Korea part of Bush's "axis of evil". I wonder if Colin Powel will say that all the material that Pakistan gave was in the past (as he did with the transfer to North Korea) and forgive the Pakis.
BTW, the Pakis used US supplied C-130's to fly the nuclear material to North Korea and fly missile components back to Pakistan. This has been widely reported in the Western media as well, with CIA and State Department reports confirming this.

VF! Didn't you hear? NK's Lil' Kimmy is already cuttin' fingers and toes so he's got somethin' to eat! Won't be too long and they'll all need prosthetic devices so's they can follow him around. The Brits like their chips with fish, so do you suppose we could get you to throw yourself in the hot fat for a moment or three?
Oh yah - Almost forgot. Nukes don't smoke - They give off a ROW-mantic glow.
P.S. Your rubber duck is leakin', and the soap scum is just about to your butt. You'd better bail.

I need the Government to lick the Warts off my Feet! I need Universal Health Care Coverage designed such that I no longer need to pay for anything!
I need to find a back alley to sleep on while Social Programs from Governments Sponsored by Tax Payer's Bank Accounts can assist me at my every whim! Who cares about using the Military in Foreign Policy? Heck why bother having a military? Let's let all the Arab Countries invade America and start up their own TERRORIST Organizations.
Detroit can build its own Salman Pak in order to make Arabs feel at home! Please! Howard Dean! VF! And the whole Liberal Gang. I got a whole $2 that needs to get to the Federal Government on the Double!
Oh yea I am being sarcastic:-)

This is one I'm surprised isn't getting more play. This is a huge deal. And while Mohammed El Baradei gives interviews saying that he thinks America should disarm its nuclear weapons, basically with his head in his ass, he seems to be essentially ignoring probably the most flagrant violations of the non-proliferation treaty in the last few years. And the mullahs would like us to believe that this was contaminated enriched uranium from elsewhere.
Sure it is.
I would like to believe that we have a plan for all this, but right now I don't think we do. And the situation is rapidly becoming intolerable. And I have to agree with Punju. Pakistan is becoming more and more of a liability. And although I believe that Musharraf truly seeks a new direction for Pakistan, he's hamstrung by the Islamists in his own police forces and government.
I am not a defeatist, but I see this situation rapidly spiralling out of control not just for the US, but for the world. Anybody have any other insights? This is one truly worthy of debate.
