US Terror Threat Dropped To "Yellow"

Posted by: James Joyner at May 30, 2003 02:55 PMIt'll be interesting to see how Homeland Security responds the next time Al Qaeda gets busy elsewhere around the world. A case can be made that heightened security accompanying Orange Alert has helped prevent planned attacks. But we'll probably never know that. All most folks know is that all four times the nation went to Orange Alert, there were no attacks. Threat fatigue is an ongoing management challenge for this administration.
