Podhoretz on Israel's Internal Debates
Norman Podhoretz, who was one of the leading critics of the Oslo Accords that led to the the 1991-2005 Oslo War, lays out some of the current debates inside Israel about The Road Map and Sharon's proposed withdrawal from Gaza et. al. As you can see, the writing captures the flavour of some of the conflicts and controversies very well. The various briefings were part of a recent Hudson Institute tour, and while the piece itself is opinion, his reporting on the various currents of opinion inside Israel as given to him in direct briefings qualifies as news in my view.
