JERUSALEM POST: Hamas official: Kassams won't stop

Said Siam, a senior Hamas official in the Gaza Strip said Thursday that Hamas does not intend to stop firing Kassam rockets into Israel until Israel ends what Siam called "criminal acts against the unarmed Palestinian people." Siam added that firing Kassam missiles "is part of our legitimate opposition to Israel's actions, including the massacre of Palestinians and the demolition of houses," Army Radio reported.

Hell, I sorta like Israel's approach to urban renewal. If I was Said Siam, I wouldn't be going around talking with the title of 'senior Hamas official' attached to my name!! Hey SAID, can you say KABOOM?! Where is the sensible leadership among these people....sometimes I think they revel in their poverty and hatred. What a life they must lead huh?

Something tells me the Israelis aren't going to stop either, and people are starting to not care what happens to the murderous Palestinians. Except for the French, they always care, if you pay them enough.

Prepare for Hellfire enema, Said.

People care plenty about the Palestinians. Unfortunately, we have two leaders (Bush and Sharon) who do not. Get rid of them and peace has a chance. Until then, it's going to be war, whether you and I like it or not.

Like the peace of Oslo, brokered by Clinton, violated by Arafat when he was offered 98% of what he said he wanted.

The peace of Oslo was not perfect but it was better than this war. Arafat was foolish in not saying yes when he could have, but that is history. It does not consign the parties to perpetual war.

Arafat wasn't foolish - he was just plain greedy. He saw the Palestinians getting what they needed as an erosion of his power base. So as far as he was concerned, better they be consigned to the hell of perpetual warfare than he lose any of his power....

Damn shame someone didn't shoot him years ago. He may have been martyred, but that would pass. Then the Palestinians might have had a chance. As it is, they'll be decades recovering from what Arafat's inflicted on them.

Israel needs to forget about this useless humanitarian restraint. The way to win a war against terrorism is to out-terrorize the terrorists. When Syria was faced with an uprising by the Moslem Brotherhood in 1982, they leveled the city of Hama and obliterated 20,000 people. The world shrugged, as the world always does and there has been no trouble from the Moslem Brotherhood there ever since.

Israel should follow the Syrian example.

rdelphant, Arafat wasn't foolish. I chose my words carefully when I said he was offered "98% of what he said he wanted".

How many times do they have to say "from the river to the sea" and "we are not fighting because we want something, we are fighting to eliminate you", before you believe them?

How many times will the West dismiss the promises of the genocidal as mere rhetoric?

I've been rereading Gibbon this month. It seems we never have learned.

For some reason you seem to prefer the statements of the Hamas extremists. Could that be because it fits more neatly with your own extremist views ??
