One has to wonder how this scenario will play out once the Gaza withdrawl plan is complete. What will be the Israeli reaction to the constantly increasing strategy of mortar and Qassam barrages? How about when the Palestinians start using longer range more sophisticated projectiles from within their Gazan border. I believe a much larger confrontation is unavoidable.
