3 Israelis dead, more wounded

Three Israelis were shot dead and two others wounded by Palestinian gunman who infiltrated a Jewish settlement in the northern Gaza Strip early today, Israeli medical and military sources said.

"Three Israelis, two women and a man, were killed early Friday when two terrorists penetrated the community of Netzarim," a military source told AFP, saying at least one of the gunmen had been killed by Israeli soldiers in the area.

Medical sources said a woman was also severely wounded in the attack, and another man was in moderate condition.
