You Are Not Reading This!

Much has been posted recently about our unofficial mascot, Comical Ali. While browsing Kevin's Wizbang I came across a link to this wonderful piece of technology, courtesy David Bloom: The Iraqi Information Minister Quote Generator. And remember:

Allah will defile the monkey's in Basra!

I got:

"The Americans will trap the Americans."

Which, if you think about, it makes about as much sense as anything else he ever said.

Paul

I did notice that if your numbet comes up you can get:

"The Americans will butcher the bastards in Baghdad."

That one looks about right.

On behalf of the "Monkeys" in Basrah, Allah is smiling upon us, most of the time, the defileing seems to be weather orientated. For Ladies and gennlemen from Texas or Florida this may be pleasant weather, but for those souls from milder climes 20degrees is considered quite enough.

Although I am sure that good old Baghdad Bob could quote / misquote Noel Coward

" ...Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the mid day sun".

Which might be funny if it wasn't true!!!

Here's an interesting story:

U.S. Calls for More Inspections of U.N. HQ Compound
(2003-06-27) -- U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell today called for more inspections to determine whether the aging United Nations headquarters in New York really contains dangerous levels of asbestos and other hazards.

U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan has asked the United States to make a $1.2 billion interest-free loan for renovation, asbestos remediation, installation of sprinklers, firewalls and doors and new HVAC systems.

But Mr. Powell accused Mr. Annan of rushing into an ill-timed venture in which the U.N. might get bogged down for years.

"We need to allow the inspectors time to identify the sources of alleged airborne toxins...if, in fact, there are any," said Mr. Powell. "I don't understand this rush to destroy the old. This building has been around for 50 years. Is it really the threat that Mr. Annan suggests?"

The U.N. should also take more time to build broad international support for this effort, Mr. Powell added.

My husband works demo'ing buildings & if the building 50 years old it is loaded with asbestos.

This development at the UN is very distressing. We cannot expect these important international bureaucrats to have to suffer under such appalling conditions, given their vital role in global events.

My suggestion is that we take this terrible issue and make the most of it: Why not close down the buildings in New York and build a new UN headquarters in Paris or Brussels?

They could build with all the legal safety codes in effect, and the new location would be more easily accessible, geographically, to the UN's infinitely more influential representatives from dictatorships and terrorism sponsors.

Naturally, given the new location of this great institution, the French or Belgians, honored as they would undoubtedly be, would be more than happy to pay all the building and related relocation expenses.

If the dump is 50 yrs old and full of asbestos, let it stand. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Posted by: t gehris at June 27, 2003 10:25 PM

Well i got 'The Americans will poison them all.'

Only tough luck or has it a deeper sense? :-)

I second that motion! its time for one of these glorious bastions of enlightenment, otherwise known as nations of europe to have the honer of hosting the UN assembly for the next 50 years.

along with footing the tab.

Piss on the Untied Notions. Let each member nation contribute equally to the cost of housing those worthless bastards. let some other nation host these parasites for a while.

Bagdad Bob may turn out to be a prophet. It takes
time for prophesies to come true. Usually K's of
years. His may take months.. That is Some work.
Has to be direct from Allah. The other ones could
be taken hundreds of ways.

Muchochos,

E salam a Laikum

Asbestos is a dangerous thing indeed! My friend worked with Asbestos for a long time. It took them a month to cremate him when he died.
