Chalabi: Saddam seen north of Baghdad
The Associated Press reports: Saddam Hussein has been seen north of Baghdad and is paying a bounty for every American soldier killed, the leader of an Iraqi exile group said Tuesday. In Washington, Pentagon officials said Tuesday they had no information that Saddam was alive and offering bounties for killing U.S. troops.Posted By Martin Devon at June 10, 2003 02:20 PM | TrackBack Ask him if he saw elvis on his travels Posted by: The King at June 10, 2003 02:37 PMIs it appropriate to haggle when you buy a suicide vest? Posted by: Simon Barnett at June 10, 2003 02:45 PMI'd be plotting out his proposed movements against incidents of "attack," see if there's a correlation. IOW, could the recent spat of attacks on US soldiers be attributed to someone wandering the countryside with a couple billion dollars and a grudge? Posted by: TBox at June 10, 2003 02:47 PMLast known 'sighting' of Saddam: Since Rumsfeld hasn't mentioned him directly in a while, Chalabi hasn't been in the news much. Apparently suffering media withdrawal and needing some publicity. For small values of "some" in this instance. Posted by: Don at June 10, 2003 02:58 PMHasn't it already been determined that the serial numbers on the metal boxes of hundred dollar bills found in Baghdad match the $1 billion Qusay withdrew from the Central Bank? And that only a couple hundred thousand are now missing? Is Chalabi referring to a $1 billion withdrawal that is different from Qusay's withdrawal or is Chalabi unaware that the money has been mostly recovered? Posted by: Bubba at June 10, 2003 06:22 PMI'll bet, that if I offered a cold six-pack for any USA trooper who put a bullet in chabali's head I'd be found very quick Posted by: Bubba at June 10, 2003 06:24 PMBubba - How 'bout (how in hell do you spell that in Canuckspeak?) an order of partyballoons to go with that can o' Molson's? ;-) I think it's spelled about, but if your from Newfoundland, you say "aboot". I guess we'll have to talk to Anthony about those hydrogen filled party Balloons, That's if he took my advice and ordered a HOGAN™40 series hydrogen generator. But , you may have to order well in advance if he uses the bucket and chemical method. Bubba - I'll add it to my shhhhhedual. Posted by: Dave Dubé at June 10, 2003 06:42 PMOk Ok. How dumb are these people. You could make far more money from the americans if you served up Saddam's head to them. Let me refraze that. Well, its in Chalabi's interests to claim that Saddam is still alive, whether he is or not (I tend to lean to the latter conclusion). Posted by: Jacques at June 10, 2003 07:48 PMJacques - I was goin' to ditto that, but others would probably call that condescendin'. Posted by: Dave Dubé at June 10, 2003 08:10 PMI can agree with that. Chabali uses that fear to rally support for himself. Especially because he's a shiite, and he can be the man to keep big bad saddam away if HE is elected. Posted by: Bubba at June 10, 2003 08:13 PMDon't piss upwind. I larned that one when I was a whippersnapper. ;-) Posted by: Dave Dubé at June 11, 2003 08:05 AMGoes with the "don't eat yellow snow" rules, Dave. seems those on the CP's longest string in history don't know the "don't piss into the wind" rules though, LOL Posted by: Bubba at June 11, 2003 09:35 AMPost a comment
