Powell: U.S. Still Disappointed In France
From the Wichita Eagle / AP: The United States does not intend to punish France for its opposition to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, but would review joint cooperation "in the light of changed circumstances," Secretary of State Colin Powell said Friday.Posted By Newshound at May 23, 2003 10:38 AM | TrackBack I know Powell is just doing his job, and that is to be diplomatic (go figure)... but stuff like this always makes me think of him as a wuss. Posted by: Ted at May 23, 2003 10:46 AMOn second thought... the thought of having breakfast with slimy de Villepin makes me shudder. Maybe there's something to be said for having the balls to go do that. Posted by: Ted at May 23, 2003 10:48 AMFrankly, I'm more worried about Russia than France. Posted by: Beachbum at May 23, 2003 01:57 PMPowell ready to forgive? I sure as hell ain't. Anyways, the American consumer can send much better messages to France then our government. This summer, travel in Australia, Spain, Italy, and Czech Republic. |=uck the French! Posted by: Original Mark at May 24, 2003 01:15 AM>>>Powell added that the United States wants to "work out any remaining sharp edges ... that are still there as a result of this disagreement." Is he saying 'twist, while removing, the knife in our back????' Post a comment
