Powell: U.S. Still Disappointed In France

From the Wichita Eagle / AP:

The United States does not intend to punish France for its opposition to the U.S. invasion of Iraq, but would review joint cooperation "in the light of changed circumstances," Secretary of State Colin Powell said Friday.

Powell and French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin emerged from a breakfast meeting saying they would like to put the feud over Iraq behind them. Powell added that the United States wants to "work out any remaining sharp edges ... that are still there as a result of this disagreement."

I know Powell is just doing his job, and that is to be diplomatic (go figure)... but stuff like this always makes me think of him as a wuss.

On second thought... the thought of having breakfast with slimy de Villepin makes me shudder. Maybe there's something to be said for having the balls to go do that.

Frankly, I'm more worried about Russia than France.

Powell ready to forgive?

I sure as hell ain't. Anyways, the American consumer can send much better messages to France then our government. This summer, travel in Australia, Spain, Italy, and Czech Republic.

|=uck the French!
