US Forces Detain Arab Candidates To Kirkuk Council

U.S. military forces in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk have detained two Arab candidates for the provincial council days ahead of elections to the body, an army spokeswoman said on Thursday.

Lawyer Mijbil al-Sheikh Isa is being held following allegations he was from the upper echelons of Saddam Hussein's once all-powerful Baath Party.

The second of the six Arab candidates, Burhan Muzher al-Asi, was detained after U.S. forces received intelligence which alleged he was involved in supplying weapons ahead of a fierce clash between U.S. troops and Arab gunmen on Sunday. He was later released without charge.

Believe it or not, that's how they think, jeffb, except if they get killed fighting for islam, they get 72 virgins and 12 pearly boys.
All I get is a chance to be judged, and if i fail, my soul is terminated.
But somehow, my belief is more realistic....

Bubba - You've studied it more than I have. I went as far as figurin' out Muhammad's game - that was it. What the Hell is so inviting about 72 virgins (and forget the 12 pearly boys!)? I just don't get it.

Islam is at its core a sexually insecure religion and culture, a large number of virgins insures that the "man" is the "master" of his bedroom. Ive heard it joked (BY A PAKASTANI NO LESS!) that the 12 pearly boys are to be used as servants and in case the martyrs eye is not caught by the sight of virgin women...*cough*.
Im an Agnostic myself, but i would personally prefer 72 women of various age and background, from a 18 year old virgins to 60 year old methusala whore of babylon with more tricks under her belt than a police dog. Oh and my wife of course :)Thattle keep the afterlife interesting.

I wonder that too.

Palestinians have started blowing up their daughters to try and kill Israelis. What does a woman get when she goes to martyr heaven?
