Basra Governor Surrenders
UPDATE: Sky now has the full story: "Accompanied by his father, they just drove themselves in their vehicle from the place where they were hiding in Baghdad to the INC office," spokesman Zaab Sethna said. Walid Hamid Tawfiq al-Tikriti was number 44 on the most wanted list. His card was the Eight of Clubs. [You can see a scorecard of the deck of cards here] NICE touch w/ the card in the post. I can't wait to get a Full House... Posted by: Dave Dube at April 29, 2003 12:08 PM8's and Q's full house Only one more for a flush in clubs Posted by: AvidWatcher at April 29, 2003 01:12 PMActually, we've already got a flush in clubs: 45689. If we can nab the 7 of Clubs we'll have a straight flush. I've got a list of those captured at my site (click on Ba'ath Poker Deal), plus a cross-reference chart showing how the list of 55 matches with the deck of 52 (not very well), and a graph showing how captures seem to be accelerating over time and the rank of those captured also tends to be increasing slightly, though they're still mostly from the bottom half of the list. The graph is on my main page, and I'll be adding the last two captures soon. Come on over and take a look. Posted by: Dr. Weevil at April 29, 2003 01:19 PMI'm surprised I haven't seen the posting here from BBC.com that says that Comical Ali is trying to surrender, but that the Americans won't arrest him...
