Pentagon to start taking reservists in Iraq off active duty
Pentagon-AP -- The Pentagon will start cutting back on the number of National Guardsmen and reservists on active duty for the war in Iraq. That word comes today from the Pentagon official in charge of reserve policy.

Thomas Hall, an assistant secretary of defense, says the number of reservists on active duty simply has to come down -- because the military "doesn't need all of those people now." It's not clear when or how the demobilization will happen.
