USS San Juan Returns Home To Groton

Some happy families. From Newsday:

The USS San Juan returned home from the war in Iraq to a welcoming crowd of 350 family members and friends at the Groton Naval Submarine Base Wednesday.

The 360-foot long sub was the second to return to Groton from the war. The USS Toledo returned last week.

Another Groton-based submarine, the USS Pittsburgh, will return home next month, the Navy announced Wednesday. The sub is part of the battle group of the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman based in Norfolk, Va.
