Sky News: Kurds in Iraq have handed over one of Iraq's most wanted leaders, it has been reported. The man, handed over near Mosul, is said to be a senior Ba'ath party official.

US Brigadier General Vincent Brooks said Samir Abd al-Aziz al-Najim was arrested yesterday and has been positively identified. "He is now in Coalition control," he said.

Al-Najim, the former chairman of east Baghdad, is listed as the four of clubs in the deck of cards detailing the most wanted members of Saddam Hussein's regime. The cards were handed out to US troops in Iraq to help them identify suspects.

It comes just one day after the US reported the arrest of Saddam Hussein's half brother Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, after a tip off. He has been listed in the 55-card deck as the five of clubs.
