Mass Graves Found

[BBC]

Kurdish officials say at least 2,000 unmarked graves have been found just outside the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk.

They say the area is a mass grave where the Iraqi army killed Kurds in the late 1980s.

I don't feel very bad for the Arabs and Turkmen settlers brought into the Kurdish areas in Kirkuk and Mosul. They were paid large bounties to occupy the homes of people thrown out by violence and murder. Sure, they have land titles and paid a nominal fee, but the settlement subsidies cover more than the cost of the land, and they had to know what really happened.

I heard some idiot on CNN yesterday say Mosul was "historically Arab." Pure garbage.

It would be a good move to have at least some sort of gov. help for the Arabs being moved out.
