Camerawoman becomes first female journalist to die in Iraq war
Argentine freelance camerawoman Veronica Cabrera died from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident in Iraq that also killed correspondent Mario Podesta. A witness claims to have heard gunshots just before a tire exploded causing their vehicle to roll. Posted By Cranky at April 16, 2003 09:06 PM | TrackBackI'm beginning to think they need airbags in Iraq. PS: Nice new format Posted by: Phil Hornsey at April 16, 2003 09:09 PMI will repeat myself again{cause i like my own voice} SHIT HAPPENS IN WAR. a freelance journalist, should have been with the marines...not only would she have been safe...but she could have done there laundry.....although i'm sure the marines could have thought of a few things for her to do....lol....{yes to all you people who are going to say "she was a human being" i know that} incentative no, she herself would say the posting must go on. hence i will keep her wish and continue posting.... Posted by: aby normal at April 16, 2003 09:15 PMShots heard just before the tire blew? Calling John Travolta! Posted by: jerry at April 16, 2003 09:38 PMwell, there is a twist, shots heard before the tire blew? Aby, do laundry, and other "things"? Got to love people who wish for government controled news. I don't want to hear anything out of chechnya unless it comes from reporters with Russian troops. Posted by: get a life at April 17, 2003 12:00 AMPost a comment
