Baghdad Area Proud to Resist US Forces
More than 20 “martyrs” are buried under the olive trees outside the Abu Hanifa Mosque, the name of each slipped into Pepsi bottles stuck in the ground. The Aadhamiyah neighborhood, resident Faisal Sayed Jafar noted proudly, did not give a warm reception to US troops. “We’re the only part of Baghdad that didn’t welcome the American soldiers with flowers,” he said with a smile. “Of course, we paid a price.”Posted By Billy Beck at April 14, 2003 10:01 PM | TrackBack And they were proud to stick your worthless IslamoFascist asses under Pepsi bottles, asswipe. Posted by: Cowboy Bob at April 14, 2003 10:03 PMHow Ironic that they put their names in American Company pepsi bottles. some artifact that will be in 1000 years..... Posted by: Ironic at April 14, 2003 10:06 PMIronic - makes you wonder if maybe Babylon wasn't really a civilization, but a carbonated beverage, huh? Posted by: Cowboy Bob at April 14, 2003 10:07 PMSad to say, this is all the Arab face that can be saved at this point. It might even be worth some PR now for the theatre commanders to pay respects to the "courage and skill" of the Iraqis who resisted. Posted by: Samuel Tai at April 14, 2003 10:09 PMOh joy. Posted by: General Patton, in France at April 14, 2003 10:09 PMBubble-on, I like it..... LoL Posted by: Ironic at April 14, 2003 10:16 PMI can ship some bottles over if they are running low. Do they want the coke inside or would they prefer them already prepared for use? Posted by: TerryP at April 14, 2003 10:23 PMThe best part is the fact that they chose to attack US troops from behind a mosque. Posted by: Gabriel Hanna at April 14, 2003 10:34 PMdid they put them in the pepsi bottles? or just stick the pepsi bottles in there asses? and were they recycleable bottles or plastic? and finaly were they the screw on lids or the bottle type caps? and the really big qeustion is did they have a deposit on the bottles if so thats almost 2 dollars they wasted on those miserable shits or shiites i cant get them staright.... Posted by: aby normal at April 14, 2003 10:45 PMi dont know about you but thats pretty cool that he said only iraqis out of 5 million that didnt welcome them; who really gives a f then. Posted by: Bill at April 14, 2003 10:48 PMI sincerely hope the Iraqis seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If they end up like Iran, or the PLO, I'm afraid we're going to have to turn the whole region into glass. Posted by: Samuel Tai at April 14, 2003 10:52 PMLike it or not, the USA HAS to set up a secular government in Iraq, design a constitution, or offer iraqi's to be the 51st state. Posted by: James at April 14, 2003 11:18 PMThose "Arab volunteers" again. Posted by: John Anderson at April 14, 2003 11:31 PMArab volunteers need to get some potential Laci Peterson killers and New Orleans High School students on their team if they're to have any credibility with the media. Come on, guys, you need to stay relevant, CNN is getting bored... Posted by: John at April 14, 2003 11:38 PM“We’re the only part of Baghdad that didn’t welcome the American soldiers with flowers,” he said with a smile. “Of course, we paid a price.” What's this "we" stuff? I don't see a sucking chest wound on you, beeotch! Posted by: BH at April 14, 2003 11:39 PMA popular myth circulated by Islamists in the Gulf and Egypt is that Pepsi is a secret Jewish acronym for "Purchase Every Pepsi and Support Israel", so what are they trying to say here? Hmmm.... Posted by: a at April 14, 2003 11:45 PMInteresting the neighborhood the put up the "resistance": the richest one in Baghdad...hmmm. While the poorest one is rounding up foreigners and turning them over to the US, after kicking the crap out of them. So I wonder what Susan Sarandon thinks now? It was the rich who fought the liberators, the poor who welcomed us...sorta like at the Academy Awards, no? Posted by: R. McLeod at April 15, 2003 12:18 AM"A": PEPSI a recursive acronym? That's much more sophisiticated than I expect from Arab conspriracy theories. Mathematically sophisticated anyway. You know as soon as civil order is restored in Iraq, those bottles can be returned for a valuable dime. Always recycle, kids. Posted by: Joshua Scholar at April 15, 2003 02:58 AMPost a comment
