Sudanese Fighters Encountered
From the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) The ABC's Geoff Thompson is with marine artillery units 12 kilometres south of Baghdad and says he has been told Sudanese fighters are among those blocking the way to the capital.Posted By Alan E Brain at April 4, 2003 08:47 PM | TrackBack Comments
Sudan is 40% Arab. The government is run by the Arabs, and is busy enslaving the black population of the south, and terrorizing everyone, in order to create a Taliban style government. They have strong, open ties to Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda. No surprise then that this country is contributing fanatics to fight in this war. Also, it is further proof of the working relationship between Al-Qaeda and the Baathists. Posted by: Cowboy Bob at April 4, 2003 08:59 PMSounds like Al Queda. I hope we can capture some and keep them separate. Seems like when we get our hands on these folks we learn a lot that helps us with the war on terror. One is disturbingly reminded by this of the Norland Division of the Waffen-SS, composed of non-Germans who chose to fight for Hitler. They'll be wiped out, just like they were whenever we found them in Afghanistan. Just remember: soldiers always defeat warriors. Posted by: R. McLeod at April 4, 2003 09:27 PMI've long been an advocate of giving military aid on humanitarian grounds. That is, providing it to countires and armies that are in conflicts with oppressive regimes seeking to destroy them. I figure that if we given billions in traditional aid to other countries in order to alleviate suffering in other parts of the world, we could accomplish a lot more by overthrowing governments that cause tens of millions of people to suffer. If we were to adopt such a military aid policy, one of the first groups I'd advocate supporting are the Sudanese rebels fighting against that country's Islamist government. Posted by: Bob at April 4, 2003 10:22 PMThe US ought to invite all these hotheads from outside countries to come and fight so the US can kill them all. That way their countries will be more stable. You'd think they'd have learned from the experience in Afghanistan. They have me annoyed. Posted by: Jim Bosso at April 5, 2003 02:21 AMPost a comment
