New Explosions Near Baghdad

(for those not currently watching...) The headline is almost a cliche but...

the current live picture of Baghdad from Abu Dhabi TV (& others) is showing what could be a truly huge fire. Shep on Fox says it could be traces of antiaircraft fire, but as he says, there's no way to know. In any case, the flash has gone on for a very long time...

How much longer are they going to be under that "operational pause" that Rooters reported on earlier this week?

arlo, we're no longer in an operational pause, we're now in a quagmire. didn't you see the latest report?

That's because our military planners are "not professional". Just ask the Belgians!

Does anyone have a URL to a live feed of Baghdad other than MSNBC?

Patrick try these
Live Baghdad Feeds
Broadband
CBS: http://cgi.cbs.com/video/video.pl?url=/broadcast/*/livenews.rm&plugin=1&proto=rtsp
CNN:
rtsp://live1.stream.aol.com/farm/*/encoder/cnn_webcast1_high

Dial Up
CBS:
http://cgi.cbs.com/video/video.pl?url=/broadcast/*/livenews.rm&plugin=2&proto=rtsp
CNN:
rtsp://live1.stream.aol.com/farm/*/encoder/cnn_webcast1_low
Abu Dhabi (Live News with cameras in Baghdad):
http://live.abudhabi.tv/ramgen/encoder/ad.rm

Right now the MSNBC is the best one. I guess the large explosions and resulting damage explains why the CBS/CNN feeds went to red/black about an hour ago (I'm not kidding?!

Maybe the American war plan hasn't failed. Peter Arnett, call your office.

Not only is there the al-Reuters pause, and the anti-Rummy quagmire, but now we are made to understand by the French that we've made three (count'em!) mistakes.

You can always count on the French to tell you you're wrong. So, should the Coalition forces have surrendered to French-armed Saddam? or the US to the French-led UN? and the UK to the French-led EU?
