Sources: 9 bodies are U.S. soldiers

Back to somber posts. From MSNBC: Nine of the 11 corpses recovered from a Nasiriyah hospital during the rescue of Pfc. Jessica Lynch are U.S. soldiers and most are believed to be from the Army’s 507th Maintenance Company, U.S. military officials told NBC News. The bodies are being returned to the United States for forensic identification.

Jesus what a dark day for the families. Even if it were 11 of 11 they would know and could grieve. Now they are suspended over a pit, knowing the odds are terrible but unable to release hope.

These were the ones killed by "shrapnel" I'm sure.
When I saw the video of the GI's from the 507th who were obviously shot in the forehead, it really hit home.
How anyone could deny that the Iraqi's have murdered our POW's is beyond me.

Maybe the Iraqi soldiers were crack shots, aren't the USA troops, most of whom were born with a gun in their hands (every citizen's right in USA) all crack shots too?
How come when USA Troops kill thousands of Iraqi soldiers and civilians, it is either battle casualties or collateral damage and when Iraqis defending their country against an illegal invader, kill USA troops it is murder or terrorism?

Uh, Prince Dufus, er, I mean Rufus, I have got to hand it to you for sheer efficiency. You have managed in only 69 words to squeeze in at least four stereotypical anti-American Euroweenie talking points.

Americans are a brutish tribe of gun nuts (except for a few enlightened souls like Mikee Moore, Academia, the media, the entertainment industry, Soccor moms, et al.) who get their jollies from shooting successively higher forms of life in the forehead.

We just luuuve killing civilians. Just for the record, how do you break out the "thousands" number? Is it thousands of soldiers and also "thousands" of civilians? Let's see, how many civilians do we have to kill to equal the civilians deliberately killed by the Saddam regime? They don't even use the fig leaf of "collateral damage" as an excuse to hide their bloodthirstiness. Just what is the ratio Prince? How many deliberate acts of murder by the Saddam regime does it take to equal one civilian death caused by the evil arrogant hegemon, the United States? Is it 100/1, a 1000/1?

After all this war is "illegal". You surely must be a brilliant legal mind far beyond my puny capabilities, so please explain why this war is illegal.

And of course the poor underdog Iraqi regime is justified in using any means to defend against the illegal invaders. A suicide bomber in civilian clothing in a taxi blows up four American soldiers at a checkpoint is only defending his country. However when the evil Americans then shoot into a vehicle crashing a checkpoint the paroxysms of condemnation from the Euroweenies are deafening. Killing civilians in cold blood the evil bastards! Your finely tuned legal mind can't seem to understand the suicide bomber is illegal under the Geneva Convention. You see, deliberately targeting civilians is illegal in the Geneva convention. And the way an army is supposed to distinguish between civilians and non-civilians is that civilians wear civilian clothing and combatants wear uniforms. Can you grasp this concept?

Can you also consider that the poor woman driving that van was illegally forced to run the checkpoint because her husband was a hostage and was a deliberate attempt by the regime to incur civilian casualties in order to get propaganda points with idiots like you who hate the United States so much that you will applaud anything as long as it confirms you world view. Do you consider it OK to defend your country by using children as young as 5 years old as a human shield? I'm sure you don't but you won't accept that it happens. Anything the US claims is a lie. You would rather believe the pathological ruthless liars that are the Iraqis have shown themselves to be over and over.

Putting a terrified POW on television and asking him "Why you come to Iraq? You come to kill Iraqi people?" is illegal. However, I'm sure in your warped worldview, this is perfectly justified because of our "illegal" invasion. Executing POW's is illegal. Although the Iraqis may be "crack shots" it seems just a bit unlikely that two soldiers would be killed by single gunshots to the forehead. You see AK-47's are automatic weapons, which means they fire lots of bullets in a row automatically. They don't usually leave one bullet hole. The female POW that was rescued had two broken legs and a broken arm -- hmmm wonder how that happened. But to be fair its not like the Iraqis didn't provide medical treatment -- that metal bed frame and car battery with metal probes attached to it found in the basement of the hospital was obviously meant for special physical therapy.

What really makes me sick is the inherent racism of the leftist multi-culti world view. The evil white male dominated US forces have one set of rules. A special form of damned if you do and damned if you don't. But the brown skinned illegally attacked Iraqis are held to no moral standards. Why not?

Prince-
The autopsy results should be able to determine if they were shot at a distance by a skilled and legitimate sniper or up close by a war criminal.
Let's wait and see.

My condolences to the friends and families of the fallen heroes.

Prince Dufus:
More Chiraq BS from one of the unenlightened. If you can't differeniate between Saddam and the Tommies and Joes trying to end the evil of Saddam's regime then when the final judgement comes you will be weighed and found wanting.

More Euro-appeasement nonsense from a craven cheese eating surrender monkey.
