In the driver's seat

ABC News just ran a piece on an Air Force flight station where F-16s are flying out constantly - a plane that returns from a run over Iraq is back in the air within an hour of touching down. Two pilots in between flights were interviewed, and said they were fired on in their last run. Apparently in response to the reporter's question about what he thought of being fired on, one said, with a verbal shrug:

"We drive a $20 million sports car into some very bad areas."

I wouldn't disagree.

If Hollywood knows what's good for it, they'll be making movies about these guys for a decade at least.

If hollywood makes any movie, the villians will be American Nazi Terrorists, or some dethroned Royalists as usual. It's un-PC to suggest there is ever trouble brewing in the middle east.
