Polish GROMtroops fight along

MSNBC » Poland has sent 56 members of its elite GROM commando unit to the Iraq campaign in a signal of support for the United States. Unit commander Col. Roman Polko, reporting in Warsaw on his soldiers' activities, said they had come across many Iraqi soldiers who appeared to be civilians.

I do not think that term "unilateral" means what you think it means....

I'm from Detroit, originally. I can tell you that a pissed-off Pole is someone you don't want to mess with. Thanks for helping out, Poland!

Thanks from me, too! We will not forget it.

Thanks, Poland. Have you found a suitable location for the bases we're moving out of Germany yet?

Sorry, I can't help this - are Polish uniforms bowling shirts?

Again, sorry. You guys are great.

I've never seen a bowling shirt with a Ranger patch on the arm!

Thank You POLAND, of all the coallition members you know what it's like to live under the boot of socialism. We love our Polish friends and won't forget your contribution to this just cause.

We definitely need to develop better relations with Poland. One of their best kept secrets is their women. They are Beautiful!

I think the "new" Europe is going to look a lot different.

Kudos to the Poles for sending troops. I'll buy those guys a pevo anytime. Also, Albania has sent a small number of troops into harm's way. I've also read that the Danes have a sub in the Persian Gulf and that the Dutch have a team of advisors at CENTCOM. That's all in addition to the UK & Aussie forces. We Americans owe gratitude to these countries for being at our side--just as we owe France & others thanks for fighting with us in Afghanistan. Indeed, the people crying 'unilateralist' can't count.

Good troops, thanks for sending them, Poland, and for having them take the risks of freedom on behalf of your country.

I'm with Cowboy Bob: Have you found a suitable location for the bases we're moving out of Germany yet?

God bless.

I've heard of some airforce base to be suited US needs. They also want to transfer some NATO command structures to Bydgoszcz and I've heard of some quiet negotiations about placing ABM facilities, perhaps somewhere in Sudety region.

Yes, the ABM launchers are to be placed in Sudety region. Couple of days ago Boeing and PIT (Polish research institute of telecommunication) signed a letter of intent - to research and manufacture some elements of the ABM system in Poland.
PIT & RADWAR have a long tradition in developing radars for Polish defence system. Many of them were also exported to Asia (Indonesia, India, etc.)
