Baghdad Pete Rehired

Peter Arnett, the American reporter fired by MSNBC and National Geographic earlier today has reportedly been hired by the Daily Mirror (Fox News and now WaPo).

My considered opinion at this point is that Arnett is pathetic. First he was a "useful idiot" for the Iraqi regime on its television network. Then he issued a groveling apology that didn't save his job. Now, if you read the Post story, he announces that he "reports the truth" and is not going to apologize for it, then shows ignorance in addition to perfidy by saying that "this war's NOT working." Speaks for itself; good riddance to bad rubbish.
