German opposition leader Under fire for pro-U.S. stance

It's impressive that she would even vocalize that position in Germany and coming from the Christian Democrat portion of the political spectrum. I wonder if it will mean the end of her political career? Posted by: zombyboy at March 31, 2003 03:51 PMAren't the Christian Democrats the center-right party? This doesn't seem like a surprising stance to me. Posted by: Bruce H R at March 31, 2003 04:06 PMGive em hell, Angie! Posted by: Eb at March 31, 2003 04:15 PMFriedbert Pflueger of the CDU also said a few things about Iraq's WMD. Links here. Posted by: Lonewacko at March 31, 2003 04:18 PMYou're absolutely right, Bruce. I was, for some insane reason, thinking of the Social Democrats. My bad. Posted by: zombyboy at March 31, 2003 05:23 PMIn most of Europe, Jimmy Carter would be considered far-right. Keep it in mind. Posted by: John Anderson at March 31, 2003 05:26 PMPost a comment
