Bad Karma
Jed Babbin at NRO claims that the suicide bomber who killed four soldiers today was not an Iraqi officer as claimed, but a member of Hamas. Posted By Michele Catalano at March 29, 2003 09:51 PM | TrackBackComments
I suspected as much. So will the "No connection between Iraq and terror" crowd STFU now? No? I suspected as much there, too. Sigh. Posted by: Parabellum at March 29, 2003 09:57 PMand SH just promoted his dead ass. does that mean he gets 144 virgins? Posted by: psyche at March 29, 2003 10:05 PMThe head of intelligence for the Iraqi opposition said hours ago on FoxNews that his well placed sources in Baghdad reported that the suicide bomber was Saudi, not Iraqi, and an Al Qaeda member. By the way, in Sept. 2001, Bush declared war on "state-sponsored terrorism." Paying bounties to Palestinian suicide bombers is state-sponsored terrorism. Posted by: Jim at March 29, 2003 10:10 PMWhy can't he be both an Iraqi officer and Hamas or alQaeda member? But Saddam wouldn't HAVE to use Hamas/Al Qaeda/Whackos to blow themselves up if the US wasn't invading his country I can hear some anti-war protesters/lefites saying. And besides according them its not "state sponsored terror" if it only kills jews, right? Posted by: Vlad at March 29, 2003 10:47 PMThe first admitted casualty of this war was a PLF gangster( as in Achille Lauro). Iraq = Hamma They each have their pets. Posted by: The Other John Hawkins at March 29, 2003 11:44 PMThe "no connection between Iraq and terror" crowd never said that. What they said, and is true, is that Iraq had no connection to 9/11. They have always admitted that Saddam supports terror, as evidence of paying palistanian suicide bombers. Their point is that the connection to 9/11, as admitted by Bush himself, does not exist. And about that they will never, nor they should ever, STFU about. Posted by: cameron at March 30, 2003 01:15 AMI don't know why you say there is no Iraq-9/11 link. M. Atta met with Iraqi agents in Prague twice before 9/11. One of the terrorist training camps in Iraq trained people how to fly into buildings (according to several defectors). One of the top Al Qaeda agents (Zahawri??) had extensive dealings in Iraq, including with the training camp and Ricin. I'd have to check, but I think that the Al Qaeda person involved in 9/11 caught in Spain had Iraqi ties. All this might not be absolutely persuasive, but you can't say that there are no Iraqi links to 9/11, because there are ties. Just how much Iraq was involved is open to speculation. And I was pointing out, what many seem to forget (but not you I guess), that Bush didn't just declare war on the perps of 9/11, but on state-sponsored terrorism. That was my point.
