Israel offers to aid Iraqi people
Via The Age: Israel, accused by Baghdad of aiding the US-British invasion of Iraq, has offered to assist the Iraqi people with humanitarian aid if the UN requests it. The unusual statement came from its new Foreign Minister, Silvan Shalom, after talks with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on hostilities in Lebanon and the belongings of missing Israeli soldiers in the region. I wonder if it will be accepted? I remember Israeli blood donations for PA hospitals being turned down. OOOH... Atta way to make the other countries look bad. Posted by: Babaloo at March 29, 2003 02:30 PMOf course US taxpayers will foot the bill for any aid contributed by Israel. Posted by: ColonelRon at March 29, 2003 05:35 PMPost a comment
