Blix: Iraqi Gas Suits Not Evidence
Source: ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) Discoveries of chemical protection suits and nerve gas antidotes are not necessarily evidence Iraq is set to use chemical weapons, says United Nations chief weapons inspector Dr Hans Blix. And the issuing of them to front-line units without our knowledge was just a bureaucratic bungle, right? If so, the ruse worked brilliantly, it certainly took us all in. "The suits, er, er, they're a fashion statement! And, that atropine? C'mon, the Iraqis just wanted a bit of a pick-me-up. That's all." Posted by: Lonewacko at March 27, 2003 02:42 AMYeah, I heard they were for Iraqi Fashion Week. Posted by: si(mon) at March 27, 2003 03:01 AMWe should stuff Blix in a chem suit, toss in a few onions and a dead cat. Wait a week, and then ask him for another statement. He must be washing his Xanax down with atropine. Posted by: MoronWatch at March 27, 2003 03:41 AMBecause the best way to scare others is to hide chemical weapons gear and not tell anyone you have it....
