Port at Umm Qasr is "open"

If true, this is the biggest news of the morning, and it's interesting that it hasn't gotten more coverage-- maybe because the American media are all following the US forces gathering near Baghdad. The Washington Post ran an article this morning about the obstacle presented by the Umm Qasr fighting. At times like this things run so far ahead of the daily news cycle that the papers seem ancient.
