Background Briefing and War Pics

The Australian (newspaper) has a (2 MB) presentation of stills with a background briefing in audio here.

There are smaller video(0.5 MB) presentations on the 4RAR Commandos (with briefing on special forces) and an RAAF Chinook night mission (Special Force extraction?).

Requires Flash, and remember it's on a site that's probably across the Pacific from you. Download may be slow, but its buffered.

The Australian's Iraqi coverage is here, which gives access to all the above and will download any plug-ins needed. Many good stories too.

There is no need for war
"Our boys were sent off to die with *beautiful ideals* painted in front of them. No one told them that *dollars and cents* were the real reason they were marching off to *kill and die*."

--Gen. Smedley Butler, 1934

The American People have been dragged, kicking and screaming into a War with a nation that has never attacked the United States, by a government that has been itching for a global demonstration of its military prowess from day one; and now, it has begun.

THERE U ARE READ IT AND COMPREHEND YOUR ILL ACTIONS AND YOU ARE THE PEOPLE THAT VOTE FOR THESE MONEY HUNGRY BASTARDS

There comes a point in time when the threat to life is intolerable...the threat to my life and the life of my fellows had become too great....if we had done nothing the threat to life would still be there...I can not proove that Saddam would have killed americans...but I don't need to. He countless times showd distain for the world community and was given many chances. This is life folks...death comes quick......
