Missing Democrat Candidates an "Affront to NAACP"

[Miami Herald]

The NAACP's top leadership lashed out Saturday at several of the major Democratic candidates for president, calling their intention to skip Monday's candidate forum an ''affront'' to the nation's oldest civil rights organization.

As many as four of the nine candidates have refused to participate in the forum, expressing reluctance to appear on stage with their rivals in a debate format, NAACP officials said.

I'm sorry, but-LOL- and people here in SF can't understand why I wouldn't want to be a democrat!

I'm not surprised.

For some years I have been puzzled by the ethnic Black Americans supporting the Democrat party when the Democrats only pay lip service to equality or being "color blind". The NAACP would never endorse George Bush and yet he has placed more Americans of African heritage to positions of responsibility than any Democrat ever did.
The same is true with the Women's Liberation Movement.

Oh WELL............:)))

Like I've said on another thread;

The democrats thrive on an imaginary championing of the downtrodden, yet those downtrodden never seem to get out of their underdog status; The dems keep them complacent and preach to the media about their "plight", but they don't quite do enough to further their lot- you're right, Belle, more minority members get ahead under Republicans than under democrats.
That's because the democrats need to keep the downtrodden where they are, to use as one of their campaign platforms.
Pitiful and sick, but there it is.

And not even inviting a Republican to speak, that's not an "affront" to every black in America, to hear all who might help and support them?

No, just another chapter in the victem / shakedown manual.

It's okay for the NAACP to snub white republicans, but it's not alright for white dems to snub the NAACP. Only in their PC free-for-all logic does any of this make sense.

My personal favorite: you can't possibly be a racist if you're not in "power", which posits that's impossible for those in minority positions to be guilty of race hatred. Right. Last time I looked, the Aryan Brotherhood wasn't in power and boy, can those guys hate.

Woody Allen was right, you can years without sex, but you can't go a day without rationalization. Especially if you're the NAACP.
