Kerry Ahead

As of 10:30 CST, returns show Kerry leading Bush, 54% to 45% (http://electionresults.sos.state.mn.us/ElecRslts.asp?M=S&R=ALL&P=A).  No surprise there.

Heavy Turnout

Our local ABC station, KSTP, reports heavy turnout here in the Twin Cities and also in Wisconsin.  We’re at >70% both places.  Voters in WI are said to have waited up to an hour and a half to vote some places.

KMSP, the Fox affiliate, agrees, and said Twin City turnout his 70% by 5:oo PM.  My own informal survey at three polling places all agreed: long lines in the morning, steady throughout the day.

Polls don’t close here till 8:00 PM, so no other news.
