Misc. | Kerry Supporter Commits Suicide at Ground Zero

Apparently a Kerry supporter was so upset at Bush’s win that he traveled to Ground Zero and shot himself (hat tip).

“It’s a national tragedy,” he said. “This election is devastating to all who believe in democracy.”

The concept of democracy rests on the notion that both sides accept the outcome of every vote.

You can stick around and fight for what you believe in and continue to make a difference, or you can check out. I invite all of Kerry’s supporters to stick around - futile acts are not what’s needed now.

Democrats own shotguns? I thought shotguns were those things that prowl the earth, looking for people to kill.

What’s this world coming to?

Is there a minimum number of people he has to take out with himself, in order to get his 72 virgins?

I suppose I could be glad he saved the taxpayers the cost of institutionalizing him.

Look, this guy was depressed and left no suicide note. People are jumping to conclusions.

I just can’t believe that claim about it being a “national tragedy.” New York press really needs to get a grip on its reporting. Most members of the press have been trying to bring down the presidency for the last 4 years. They took a little break just after the 9/11 attacks, but soon resumed to continue the attack.

The reporters are acting and writing like closed-minded, hate mongoring, America hating fools. Hopefully Americans realize what they are doing and stop buying their papers and stop tuning into those stations.

>I thought shotguns were those things that prowl the earth, looking for people to kill.

And how did one of those malevolent creatures get into New York, protected as the city is by the Magic Circle of Gun Control Laws?

I’m alittle disturbed at the light hearted nature some of you are taking with this. Even if his reasons for killing himself were SOLELY due to the election it’s sad. The comments about his “virgins” and “democrats own shotguns”, while witty, are pretty damned insensitive and you folks should know better. You guys are sounding like the folks on DU….

I know suicides happen all the time but for some reason they always sadden me. I cannot comprehend the level of hopelessness one must feel to want to do something like that.

Prayers to his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Andrew. I have an inkling of the feelings of hopelessness that led you to do what you did, having struggled with depression myself. But what saddens me more than anything is that, although there is never a right reason for taking your own life, you most certainly did take your own life for all the WRONG reasons.

When you are so wrapped up in your own political worldview that you can’t roll with the changes, then you have definitely drunk the LLL Kool-Aid.

And a great big fat “F*** You” to Michael Moore, the Hollywood Left, the MSM, and everyone else who tried to convince people like Andrew that the re-election of George W. Bush would usher in the Apocalypse. Andrew is ultimately responsible for what he did to himself, but your constant stream of lies and scare tactics didn’t help one damned bit.

Sadly, when your party runs the most slanderous campaign in history and is motivated by true hatred, this is a probable outcome. Worse, the true architects of the democratic party are even now sipping their martinis and griping, rather then accept the responsiblitiy they bear for their followers actions.

“Sadly, when your party runs the most slanderous campaign in history and is motivated by true hatred, this is a probable outcome. “

I suspect that this guy couldn’t deal with the thought that people who think like the above quote will control this country for the next four years. It is pretty hard to take. Kerry’s campaign was less slanderous than most I have experienced in my 43 years (certainly less slanderous than the Swift Boat ads run against him). The Democratic party is also not motivated by hatred, any more than the Republican party (maybe less). We were pretty angry about 2000, but that is a far cry from hatred.

I’ll tell you what. This is a REAL SHAME. It’s a real shame he didn’t take rdelephant with him. Hell, that’s a CRYIN’ SHAME. Idiots. They’re no different than the fukin’ monkeys we’re fighting in Iraq. Brainwashed, with NO HOPE of recovery.

I don’t hate them….well yeah, I guess I do. Anyone that undermines our country and/or calls the Swift Boat Vets, liars, I hate your fuking guts and you better hope that I never hear your words in the real world.

Webster’s definition of Cryin’ Shame : A busload of liberals going over a cliff………..with one empty seat.
