Bush | Bush Invites Pool reporters into White House

ABC News reports President Bush has invited the Press Pool in for a quick interview. According to ABC, this is highly unusual and may have never happened before during an election night.

UPDATE:
ABC Ran the tape, but it did not have any sound. Pres. Bush had his family around him, including his daughters, wife and Pres. Bush Sr. and the former First Lady.
Not sure what the point was….

There was sound on the NBC feed - it was just the President sitting with his family, wanting to say that they were watching the returns at home together.

They did it as a brilliant maneuver. Kerry camp only had Joe Lockhart briefing the press from behind a podium at the campaign headquarters, I think it was. You contrast the two visuals and Bush looks extremely calm and comfortable. Kerry isn’t even seen.
