I’m going with a CBS sweep.

I agree with Lesley. Given how badly CBS has behaved so far, I’d look to them to try some dirty trick to reduce the Bush turnout.

For months I’ve been suggesting to friends that this election will be the last in which the liberal Old Media may (or may not) be able to distort the election enough to get a liberal Democrat in office. By 2008, the Internet and blogs will provide such a healthy check on what they can do, that attempts to spin will discredit them badly. You already see that change coming in the nasty things they’re saying about blogs. They hate being held accountable. Ironically, a Kerry win is likely to accelerate that process.

Unfortunately, this check and balance system isn’t the best. Many among the old and poor will still be deprived of the Internet and thus of balanced news. And the clash will leave the country berift of the fair refereeing a genuinely balanced news media might provide.
