Alabama | Mother Nature is suppressing my vote!

Despite claims by local weathermen that light rain showers would be the order of the day, I’m sitting at my desk watching a downpour outside my window. The polling place where I vote is half a mile around the block from my house. Can I make it in this rain? Should I even try? And why is the ceiling air vent in my bathroom dripping water?

These and other questions will be answered as the day progresses.

pouring rain now here, at 11:30, in north alabama as well - maybe this means the weather will finally cool off. voting was heavy here in jacksonville at 8 am. I was # 286. The majority of the crowd was older then I, 40+, with a fair but small number of college students voting in this college town. I’ll take a poll of the freshmen in my classes this afternoon.

Hey susanna,

You probably need to change the filter for you Air Conditioner. If the filter is dirty it restricts the air movenent, slows it down, which cause the air temp to fall. It’s most likely condensate.

On the poll situation.
I am about 35 miles north of B’ham. We only have 1200 people here and there were around 80 in line at 7:00 this morning. I only had about a 15 minute wait. People were still showing up when I left. Turn-out is high, very high.
