1:00am Wednesday. Winner—-Bush! (or else I will shortly be out of a job)

Certification by electors - Dec 13, 2004 12 Noon EST

Certification of the electoral votes by Congress - Jan 6th, 2005 12 Noon EST - I would say that this is the official one.

I’m going with 11:55 pm Tuesday. And crossing my fingers for a resounding Bush victory.

Now, if you mean the time that the loser concedes, I’ll go with 1230am Wednesday morning

3:32 AM Nov. 3

Posted by: David [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 01:43 PM

10:17 pm Eastern, November 2 —> FL and PA will both go to Bush and there is no way Kerry can overcome that, even if OH went blue!

Posted by: I collect political items [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 02:00 PM

On Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 1:15 a.m., Bush will be preparing to conced that John Kerry has been elected the next President of the United States.

Posted by: Todd [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 02:08 PM

1:30 AM EST, 3 Nov.

With Bush being the winner, of course.

Posted by: boobalicious [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 02:48 PM

If it’s concession speech, then I say Nov 3, 7am EST.

If it’s when enough Sec.s of State certify election results for one person to be over 270, then I’m going with Nov 12, noon.

Results 5pm EST, Nov 8.

December 14, 3pm EST

I think this is going to be a close and messy one. I hope I’m wrong.

Posted by: madanthony [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 06:13 PM

I’ll be a maverick. Put me down for 2130EST, 11/2. Bush will pass the 270 point in the 2100 glut and will have carried FL, OH and PA earlier (OK, I’m an optimist). If he only takes two of those, we’ll have to wait until after the 2200 results, which include ID, MT, ND and UT. In either case it will be all be over but the shouting and/or lawsuits by 11/3, but the Democrats will whine for at least four more years.

I think we will know at 1:10am on Wednesday morning that we have re-elected President George W. Bush with 291 electoral votes.

Posted by: Cavalier79 [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 1, 2004 07:06 PM

..hey.. I hate to make this complicated but…
http://www.archives.gov/federal_register/electoral_college/2004/dates.html

..I also listend to a interveiw with a elector in WVA,a GOP elector.. who didnt feel he would cast his vote as everyone thinks..he was leaning towards the libertarian party..so “CERTIFICATION” of this election could very well go into January..
..heres my guess..Jan 6 2000 hrs..

I predict we will know by 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3rd.

Posted by: mebertolini [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 2, 2004 12:10 AM

Well, Dan Rather will be trying to call FL for Kerry about 5 pm EST, but I’ll take 11:15 pm EST for calling it.

And if the call is for Bush, I predict no concession speech from Kerry at all, indeed, he will declare his own victory. He will also have a bumper crop of attorneys on camping on courthouse steps with boilerplate lawsuits awaiting the first moment the clerk’s office opens.

Posted by: Darleen [TypeKey Profile Page] at November 2, 2004 12:41 AM

The final declaration will be at 4:05am GMT tomorrow morning.
