| Huge Turnout For Early Voting In WV

[This is an early report from one of TCP’s Election Day correspondents. It originally appeared here]

A local Charleston, WV radio station (V100) reported this morning that 73,000 people have early-voted in WV. This is over one-sixth of the turnout of the 2002 off-year election—and Election Day is not even here yet! Increasing turnout is what early voting is designed to do. Wouldn’t it be great if this means the votes can be counted much earlier, say before midnight local time on Nov 2?

From the update on your link the voting seems to be leaning towards Bush.

Maybe they been reading about voter intimidation in the early voting lines and got their backs up?

Never thought I would see the day when old folks might need protection while standing in line to vote in this country.

Things like that may decide this election with more than a narrow margin win.

They’re leaning towards Bush because I think you will be hard pressed to find a lot of people in the US that want to spit in the faces of our Veterans, past, present, and future. Especially those that made the ultimate sacrifice.
