AP: Nader Loses Bid To Get On Ohio Ballot

The Ohio Supreme Court has rejected independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader’s bid to get on the Ohio ballot.

Nader wanted the court to force local election boards to review their voter registration lists, a process Nader said could have led to the validation of petitions to place him on the ballot.

The court ruled 6-1 against Nader Friday, saying his campaign waited too long to raise its concerns.

Yup,
In fact my ballot (I voted absentee) had a little piece of paper in it warning me that any vote cast for Nader would not be counted.

ok, ep

This is EXCELLENT news. Along with Pennsylvania, that is now two of the three key states where we have no Nader factor to contend with.

If the Red Sox can come back from 3-0, then just maybe Kerry can carry this election after all.

rdelephant:

And it doesn’t bother you in the slightest that Nader’s rights have been violated?

Civil rights are just so… pedestrian, aren’t they?

Heaven forbid they stand in the way of getting Kerry in the White House…

Nader has no “right” to be on the ballot. He is polling about 1% and lacked the signatures state law required to get on the ballot. Your crocodile tears for Nader are touching, however.

What I shed tears at is your glee at seeing Nader kicked off the ballot. The Dems are truely equal-opportunity - if you’re a threat, it doesn’t matter how much of one, you’ll get the full weight of the Democratic machine on you.
