I’ll bet Kerry misunderstood. I’ll bet he was looking for the NASCAR DadVote. I’ll bet he was thinkin’ all this talk was about Drafting on a Speedway. Yup. I’m sure that’s what he was thinking.

Wimp and his puppet masters have got this one down good. And there are a few locations where the KookAid is going down easy.

“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”

— Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

No, Cap’n Kerry’s got this one right. Don’t just take his word (which I already know you detest), figure it out for yourself. You have been in these conflicts. Enlistment agreements being broken by the military; units on 2nd and 3rd rotation; units refusing to follow orders without proper equipment; units in lockdown prior to being shipped out. All it would take is another reasonable demand on US military and there would be a problem. That problem would provide the excuse for a draft.

This one is simple. Boy George and his cadre got us into a mess, which is not going away anytime soon. Any kid of draft age or their parents should be looking at the facts. They shouldn’t be listening to proven prevaricators. Or their shills in the media.

Unfortunately for coWard, this story is not a Kerry plant or trick. It is being passed along by media that 16-24 year olds trust and rely on. It can’t/won’t be stopped…even if Ed Gillespie does nothing but send his dumbass “cease and desist” letters from now to 11/2.

I sure wish Dubyus would take his meds before attempting to make a point.

The facts are very simple - Bush raised the pay, more reenlisted and enlisted, if it becomes necessary, the same thing will be done again - amazing how a free market system works. We never want to go back to the days of forcing anyone into service as that is not the way to get the best. By the way, once the elections are held in January in Iraq, you will see that things will calm down considerably, allowing us to start reducing troop levels considerably. We will partner with our Iraqi allies every day necessary, but not a single day more. You can’t put artificial timelines on this, not necessary.

Now if Kerry is elected there almost surely will be forced, mandatory service as outlined in his first 100 days plan from back in the primaries. The link below is to a screen capture page from Kerry’s website which was removed sometime around a month ago. There are still references to it on the website, with the same numbers, just with the word mandatory removed, but how do you get the same numbers if not mandatory. It is a policy of intent, stated for the first 100 days in office. While not mandatory military service, it is still mandatory service for all high school age kids.

Again I say utter hypocrisy!!!

Where is that signed Form 180 Senator Kerry, it only seems fair to let the voters judge you qualifications to be CiC from ALL of your military records. You want to command the entire military, yet you refuse to release your own records. Could it be that you were less than honorably discharged before Carter intervened in 1978? It is October Senator Kerry, you have been running for a year now, but fortunately it sounds like there are some copies of some of those hidden records out there. Concealed documents - October - suprise - could it be? I think the last week of your campaign will be consumed in trying to discredit what will be revealed, but the problem is - if not true, why not reveal them yourself? Form 180!!!!!!!!!!

Dubyas,

So the story is being passed along by “media that 16-24 year olds trust and rely on.”

Oh really. You must know a completely different group of 16-24 years olds. I don’t know a single one that trusts or believes MSM.

They’re all on-line with us, and they’re probably reading your drivel right now. Better clean up your act.

Busted.

T-8 - I think the dubyus fella has been spending way too much time soakin’ in the HotTubs at Thermop. That’s in WY, BTW.

I’ve got a daughter that fits into that age group, and a 17YO son who’d like nothing more than to prove him WRONG on a lot of his whining. You may think his condition is drug induced, but I hear this sorta stuff from co-workers, too.

Yet another classless act of DESPERATION by the Kerry camp.

He is going down — Big Time!!!

Bush is going to win this election by 10 points.

Kerry is a billionare Lawer trained to sway people away from the truth. Don’t be gullable and Check tha facts.
As part of his 100 day plan to change America, John Kerry will propose a comprehensive service plan that includes requiring mandatory service for high school students and four years of college tuition in exchange for two years of national service.
We will fight to allow students to earn four years of college tuition in exchange for two years of national service. His plan will require mandatory national service for high school kids and enlist a million Americans in service a year.

That was word for word, from a John Kerry web site.

For the record folks. NO, ZERO, ZILCH, NA-DA Enlistment contracts have been broken by any service. If they had been, then service members would be sueing (and winning). There is no “back door draft” — no one has been called up outside of the provisions of their initial enlistment contract (which THEY voluntarily signed). That’s a fact folks, Kerry’s got this one WAY wrong.

Now, to the draft. There will be NO DRAFT. Here’s why. Right now, in Iraq, we have some of the meanest and most dedicated soldiers, men and women, who have ever walked this planet. They want to be there — and they’re doing great. In fact, Army Times reports that their poll of soldiers in Iraq reveals that they’ll vote for Bush — to the tune of 70% (Of course, lawyers for the Dems will try to invalidate their absentee ballots — as they did in the last election in Florida — I guess it’s okay to disenfrancise a soldier though huh?). If you bring back a draft, you then infuse people into the situation that don’t want to be there. In a situation like Iraq, that’s not a good thing. How many soldiers have you seen on TV badmouthing the war in Iraq? Not many. However, during the Vietnam War (when there was a draft) — there were MANY who would. The draft is a scare tactic. The draft is SOOO a part of our past history, it isn’t even funny. The next time you see a draft, the U.S. itself will have to be invaded by some foriegn conventional uniformed army. Bush would declare Iraq a failure and withdraw with complete dishonor before he called for a draft. That’s why this debate is so silly — and it’s all courtesy of Mr. Kerry.
