I LIVE in Flagstaff. This article is crap. First off, Flagstaff has a population of 60,000 people, 20,000 of whom are students. Now its true its somewhat of a Democratic bastion, but even if everyone in Flagstaff, even the 2 year olds voted for Kerry, the state would still go to Bush, even if I believed the deeply flawed Northern Arizona University poll that only has Bush carrying the state by 5% instead of the 10% everyone else finds. Arizonans are pretty libertarian, we all hate the federal government, and barely trust the state government. That’s why we moved here from California…it was too liberal… Second, the Renzi/Babbit thing? Renzi, the Republican is trouncing Babbit the Democrat by huge margins even in this Democratic county, because Babbit is an even emptier suit then Kerry. The last newspaper interview I read asked both candidates the same questions. Renzi answered in complete sentences, and expanded on his answers to really dive into the issues. Babbit’s favorite answer was “I don’t know. I’ll have to look into that.” Posted by: Opinionated Bastard Post a comment
