Nader | Nader Says He Can't Win Single State
AP: Nader Says He Can’t Win Single State
Independent candidate Ralph Nader conceded on Thursday that he won’t win a single state in the presidential election.“Of course not, the system is rigged,” the consumer advocate said when asked if he thought he could carry a state Nov. 2. Nevertheless, Nader is remaining in the race.
Democrats say Nader’s candidacy in 2000 cost Al Gore (news - web sites) the election as the third-party candidate took votes in states such as Florida and New Hampshire that were decided by razor-thin margins. This year, Nader is on the ballot in more than 30 states, including New York, and is suing for ballot access in several others.
Nader also took a swipe at Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards, calling him a “sniveling coward.” Nader contended that Edwards failed to criticize Vice President Dick Cheney over limiting awards in medical malpractice lawsuits in their debate Tuesday.

Electoral Vote Predictor 2004 - Spoiler news: No, not Ralph. There is a secret spoiler lurking out there that only political junkies have ever heard of: Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party. He is on the ballot in 48 states, vs. about 35 for Nader. Some polls show him pulling in 1% to 3% of the vote.

Of course not, the system is rigged
Poor Ralph. He isn’t Presidential material, any more than I am. But I can admit it. He has to shift the blame to “the system.” Any shred of respect I had for him is now gone.

Nader Ballot Petitions Present a Phone Book Full of Problems
By KATE ZERNIKE
Published: October 8, 2004
PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 7 - In the rush to collect enough signatures to put Ralph Nader on the ballot in the swing state Pennsylvania, one father and son signed the petitions 60 times between them. Other names were paired with addresses that do not exist - unless, as a judge noted, they are in the middle of the Delaware River…..
