Kuma Reality Games wants you (to play the role of the John Kerry in Vietnam)! The NYT reports that the online gaming company is set to release a game that lets players take part in a recreation of the 1969 mission for which Kerry won his Silver Star. The game, scheduled to go online late this month, is primarily designed to be played from a digital Lieutenant Kerry’s point of view, its creators say. And, one would surmise, sure to gain notice for Kuma. Additional recreations of missions involving politicians are in the works. It also has a few “secret levels” where you go into Cambodia in search of the magic hat (+50 hp). If you succeed, you get to come back to the United States early and throw your medals/ribbons (click CTRL +M for medals, CTRL +R for ribbons, CTRL +B for both) over the White House fence. Also a secret level involving Catherine Oxenberg and Morgan Fairchild (“Leisure Suit Kerry”) that is not available in the shareware edition. Posted by: DWC It ends badly though. In the game version Cheney does dual Kerry, and old long face is so slow the VP didn’t have to shoot. He just rifle butted him until he surrendered in French!! Makes up for the traitorous ad showing the American Soldier with gun overhead in the surrender position. That frick Kerry is gonna pay dearly for that…..him and old Dan can share history’s memory of shame. Posted by: dickmr Of course the $64k question is: even though it’s a first-person shooter, can you frag yourself? Sorry, but it was just hanging there… :jackson Posted by: jackson zed I put that out there in the post I did to my site, but had to leave it out here. I suppose that someone will put together a gallery of screencaps to that effect. Posted by: Nathan Hamm Post a comment
