2004 US Presidential Election

| Vote Prediction Data
Electoral-Vote.com has a new, interesting graphic. It’s an electoral map with states shrunk or inflated according the proportion of their electoral vote. The site has the electoral vote prediction as Bush 291, Kerry 238. There’s plenty of other interactive data on the site. Election Projection, a site with a similar purpose, is, as of now, predicting the electoral votes at Bush 285, Kerry 253. Posted by Michele at September 14, 2004 06:52 PM | TrackBack Comments
Thanks, Michele… I liked them both and found them very interesting. The interactive on the electoral-vote site is very good! Posted by: steve I still think the best site is Gerry Dales’ Electoral College Breakdown. Posted by: Crank Bush will win California, Pennsylvania, and New York! California has Arnold gearing up to pull for the President. A little horse trading in the next few weeks will go a long way. Arnold cares about California, and doing his job (he is new to politics). The Republican party cares about Arnold (he is new to them). The Campaign in Pennsylvania has been unlike anything ever seen in politics, certainly by Republicans. Bono’s speach to U Penn is an example. Democrats as before take this state for granted and have a fumbling campaign that is losing ground. The convention, despite the best efforts of the media was a resounding success. When asked what New York would need to pull it off, Bloomberg said $50 millon. The Republicans raised $70 million. Though the press avoided reporting the protesters, the impression on the NYPD was made. A cop beaten unconscious and hostpitalized is one factor. Another factor in New York is the affect of the delegates who took pictures of NYPD cops like they were guards at Buckingham Palace. More than that, delegates went out of their way to say “thank-you” hundreds of times to every officer they saw. By the last day, the hardest cops in the country were calling out to the delegates thanking them! Dont forget the overtime pay thanks to that $$70 million, double the value of the raises they wanted. Sure in the privacy of the voting booth, anything could happen. However our cynicism about polititians who can not be counted on to vote their conscience can not be applied to the average person who may vote with their hearts. I think the Democratic Party is going to be mightly suprised on November 3rd. Posted by: TexasGal Post a comment
